I got though my first sober Christmas in half a lifetime.

2016 started with a radio appearance as you can see above which is wonderful.  I am now launching a new Facebook page as a drug and alcohol awareness consultant.  Im going to use it to comment on articles about the issue as well as to advertise for media appearances and public speaking opportunities as well as employment opportunities.  A link for the page is here;

I've been on radio again!! and I love Coventry Recovery Community!!

HERE IT IS.......Did a really good radio interview, I was asked in light of the press reports today about rise in Alcohol Poisoning admissions to A&E's and the fresh call for minimum unit pricing on Alcohol! A really good interview with stats, humour and a little christmas cheer....me and my old mate Phil Upton who I know from a DJ spot he use to resident at in Solihull!!

After the radio I went for an xmas meal with the wonderful Coventry Recovery Community at Nandos.  I loved it, they are such a wonderful team and always make us feel very welcome and we had a lovely xmas meal, about 15/20 of us, it was lovely.

Last few bits to do tomorrow then Im off for a family xmas in Birmingham

Have a good one xxx

Its Monday, Christmas, Getting ready and staying safe,Please make my xmas andcheck it out and share!

Hi all,

How are we?  Im good now 43 weeks aka 10 months sober.  Im feeling anxious ahead of my first sober christmas in half a lifetime, its daunting but Im using a check list for safety which I have shared on this post so if your in the same boat as me, hi and please check it out.

Im nearing the completion of my first draft for the book, now about 40,000 words in, but feel there is a lot more to add yet once the first draft has been reviewed in the new year.

Im heading to Birmingham for X'mas with my family, excited to see the kids (3 nieces and 2 nephews all 5 or under) Christmas is magical for the children.  Will also be nice to spend time with nights at my Dads and Xmas dinner and a night at my Mums.  Im very lucky to have a lovely family and looking forward to spending time with them.

This will probably be my last post now until after X'mas, so please have a very good one and I will speak to you soon xxx
